  Our experience with Leathersmith-CT in Bethany CT the last few years has been very, very good. When we moved to Fairfield Ct from out of state a favorite leather chair and ottoman sustained damage in the move. After doing a web search for specialists who restore damaged leather, I chose Leathersmith Ct, a small family business in Bethany, Ct who work out of a handsome post and beam barn on their rural farm. In reviewing various leather repair businesses, I liked Leathersmith the best because their website was the most impressive in terms of many having many 'before' and 'after' photos of work that they have done restoring, repairing, refurbishing and leather furniture, car seats, motorboat interiors and and a wide variety of other projects. Moreover, Leathersmith CT has restored and repaired a number chairs and sofas at some of the Yale colleges (dormitories), the Yale British Art Museum, and the leather doors at Yale's Sterling library. It's portfolio of accomplishments is impressive although in person this family is very humble. >> >> The damage to our leather chair included a torn panel in the chair. Leathersmith relaxed the torn leather panel with a new one, blended the new panel's color perfectly and the chair is as good as new. In addition we returned to Leathersmith recently with a large leather ottoman we use in the family room that was sun-bleached and scuffed from substantial family wear abs tear over the years. Leathersmith Ct repaired the large egg-shaped ottoman beautifully cleaning and re-dying the leather with beautiful, like-new results.
